Mondrians Quadrate Shawl

The geometric pattern of this reversible shawl has been inspired by Mondrian’s paintings, only instead of painting with colors, we are painting with purl and knit stitches. This asymmetric
triangular shawl is knit sideways from the right tip to the left side. Instructions are given for three different sizes. Choose a solid or semi solid yarn that provides a nice drape.

Material: 2 (2, 3) skeins or approx. 520 (780, 1080) meters/ 570 (855, 1180) yards Fingering Weight Yarn with a yardage of approx. 400 meters/ 440 yards per 100 grams skein. Sample is a size 3 shown in FRIDA FUCHS SCHICKIMICKI - Serenity.

Gauge: 21 sts and 32 rows per 10 cm/ 4” in stockinette stitch after blocking.

Needle size: US4/ 3.5 mm circular needle or size to obtain the correct gauge.

Finished Size: Size 1: 1.50 x 0.60m (Size 2: 1.85 x 0.75m, Size 3: 2.20 x 0.90m)/ 59 x 23 ½” (72 ¾ x 29½”, 86 ½ x 35 ½”)
