Keep your favourite wee bee comfortable and stylish wrapped in cozy, warm wool. The overlapping neck opening makes dressing easy and avoids tears.

This baby sweater has a simple construction and is knitted seamlessly in rounds from bottom to underarms. Front and back are knitted flat. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armholes. Sleeves are knitted seamlessly in rounds top down to cuffs.

The honeycomb pattern is easy to knit once you’re on the right track and is suitable for advanced or ambitious beginners.

The pattern is designed for three colours but there are unlimited possibilities to play with colours. Add as many contrasting colours to the honeycomb pattern as you wish or as your stash has ready for you. It’s a great way of using up scraps.

Gauge 
25 sts & 38 rounds in honeycomb pattern to 10 cm x 10 cm 
(4 in x 4 in) on larger needles after blocking

Main colour: 1 skein Frida Fuchs STEPPKE (100 g/366 m) 
Contrasting colours: 2 skeins Frida Fuchs MINI FÜCHSE (20 g/73 m) 
or any other fingering weight yarn that knits up the right tension

0-3 months (chest 43 cm/17 in, side length 18 cm/7 in, sleeve 18 cm/7 in): MC 250 m, CC1 35m, CC2 35m

3-6 months (chest 46 cm/18 in, side length 19 cm/7.5 in, sleeve 19 cm/7.5 in): MC 290 m, CC1 50 m, CC2 30 m

6-12 months (chest 50 cm/19.75 in, side length 21 cm/8.25 in, sleeve 22 cm/8.5 in): MC 320 m, CC1 55 m, CC2 35 m

1-2 years (chest 56 cm/22 in, side length 23 cm/9 in, sleeve 24 cm/9.5 in): MC 360 m, CC1 60 m, CC2 40 m
