Kyoto Socks

These socks are inspired by the love for Japanese simplicity. Clear lines and forms and its attention to detail feature an intricate textured pattern. The stitch pattern tapers off at heel and toe, the gusset stitches are incorporated into the pattern, decreases are worked along the imaginary line between the top of foot and the sole. In any solid or semi-solid sock yarn this pattern will make a beautiful top-down heel-flap sock.

Material: 1 skein fingering weight yarn, approx. 400 - 425 meters/100 grams

Gauge: 32 sts and 48 rows per 4” in stockinette stitch.

Needlesize: US1 ½/ 2.5 mm DPNs or size to obtain the correct gauge

Finished Size: Medium, 8” around, length for EU38 – 41 is given in Foot Section

Notions: Tapestry needle, removable stitch marker, optional: 2 stitch markers
